Vonita J. Hanna

Vonita J. Hanna, 88 of Savannah, MO went to be with her Lord and Savior at her home on Monday August 31, 2026. She was born on September 28, 1937 to Vilas & Estella (Lawson) Porter. She married David E. Hanna on September 30, 1956 and he survives of the home.

Vonita loved her family and would wake them up in the morning by singing. She was a LPN for many years working at LaVerna Heights and for Dr. Conant. Vonita and David delivered Meals on Wheels for 12 years. Vonita was also a cancer survivor.

Survivors include her husband; children, Mark (Cynthia) Hanna of Savannah, Lynndon Hanna (Randi Worthwine) of Savannah, Kim (Vic) Isenberg of Tempe, AZ, Barb (Mitch) Miller of Savannah, and Scott (Rebecca) Hanna of Kansas City, MO; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was proceeded in death by her parents; daughter, Tamara Joan Hanna; and brother, Gavin Porter.

Visitation and family receiving hour will be 12:00pm - 1:00pm Saturday September 5, 2026 at Savannah United Methodist Church in Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday September 5, 2026 at Savannah United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Nodaway Gardens Cemetery in Maryville, MO.
