Vodre "Chief" Krull 83, of Savannah, MO. Passed away at LaVerna Village in Savannah on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. He was born February 14, 1933 in Rochester, MO. The son of the late Orville & Myrtle (Gnuschke) Krull. He married Shirley Ivone Potter in Savannah on June 16, 1956 and she preceded him in death on September 23, 1982.
He enjoyed his family and his grandkids. He liked watching old western movies, playing pitch, mushroom hunting, plain M&M's, and orange pop. He was a carpenter who was very particular in his craftsmanship.
He is survived by two sons, Charles (Kathy) Krull and Keith (Terri) Krull both of Savannah; two daughters, Linda (Delbert) Appleby of St. Joseph and Susan (Don) Magness of Savannah; nine grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer), Eric (Betsy), Ashley (Justin), Chelsey (Colby), Shelby (Mike), Chase, Trenton, Trevor, and Tyler; eight great-grandchildren, Andee, Alex, Kaylen, Gabriel, William, Myla, Keyton, and Parkyr. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Newton, and Dwight; two sisters, Lucille, and Ina Mae.
A Celebration of Life will begin by meeting at 10:00am, Friday, July 29, 2016 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Graveside Service will follow at Long Branch Cemetary. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be from 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Long Branch Cemetary.
