Vickie Townsend, 70, St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Oregon Care center in Oregon, MO.  She was born on August 23, 1952 in St. Joseph, MO to Guy & Vera (Nichols) Smith.  She married Gary Townsend on May 14, 1999 and he survives of the home.

Vickie loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed camping, dancing, and her grandchildren.  She was a member of the BJG's of Mound City and a member of The First Christian Church of Mound City.

Vickie  is survived by her husband, Gary Townsend of St. Joseph; children, Roger (Stacy) Bundridge of Maryville and  Melissa (Chad) Coleman of Oregon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Vernis (Jim) Roberts, Dennis Smith, Robert Smith, Kay Smith, all of St. Joseph and Terry (Vickie) Smith of Scottsdale, AZ.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Ruby Stagner and Jack Smith.

Visitation and family receiving hours will be Monday, August 29, 2022 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah.  Funeral Services will be Monday, August 29, 2022 at 2:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah.  Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO.
