Velma Marietta "Marti" Richey, age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2023.  She was born February 24, 1948. She married James Richey on September 8, 1971.

Marti's sense of humor drew many friends to her over the years. She was loved greatly and will be missed by many.

She is survived by daughter Beth (Jeremiah) Chambers, a brother; Don (Voni) Kirkman; and hergrandchildren Brittney (Kyle), Jordan, Alyssa, Josiah, Sarah, Elijah, and Nathan.  Marti was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her daughter Julie Richey Meeks.

Memorial visitation will be 6:00pm-8:00pm Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home.  Inurnment will be at a later date in Quincey Cemetery, Carbon, Iowa.
