Obituary

Tyler Joseph Wilmes, 38 of Bolckow passed away Friday, August 25, 2023.  He was born in St. Joseph, MO on July 2, 1985 to Roger and Marilyn (Rosenbaum) Wilmes.  He married Tiffany Cox in Rosendale, MO in May of 2010 and she survives of the home.

Tyler enjoyed coaching softball and baseball teams of his children.  He never met a stranger.  He was involved in tractor pulling and was a member of the Northwest Tractor Pulling Association.  He loved working on the farm, boating, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Tiffany, mother, Marilyn; children, Maddox Wilmes and Makenna Goldizen; brothers, Timothy (Heather) Wilmes and Tristen (Leigh) Wilmes; god sister, Samantha Thuringer; in-laws, Richard (Retha) Leader and Cindy Leader; brother-in-laws, Seth Leader, Zach Leader, and Jake Leader; nieces and nephews, Gracie Wilmes, Raylen Leader, Tyson Wilmes, Corbin Wilmes, and Cayden Wilmes; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and family.  He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and brother-in-law, Chase Leader.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 31, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Savannah, MO.  Visitation and family receiving hours will be 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah.  Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Cawood, MO.  Memorial contributions can be made to The North Andrew Scholarship Fund at 9120 Highway 48, Rosendale, Missouri 64483.
