Troy DeWayne Merritt, 60, of Amazonia, MO passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at a local hospital in St. Joseph.  He was born in St. Joseph, MO on October 18, 1961 to Carl & Martha (George) Merritt.  He married Susan (Hill) Merritt and she passed away November 4, 2012.  He married Deborah Richey on February 23, 2015 and she survives of the home.

Troy loved his family and grandchildren.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on things, camping and boating at Mozingo lake.

Survivors include son, Josh (Jessica) Merritt of Amazonia; daughter, Callie Merritt of Savannah; brother, Tracy (Christine) Merritt of Rea, MO; sister, Twila (Wayne) Osborn of Savannah; stepchildren, Melissa (Brandon) Roller and children of Cosby, MO and Cassandra (John) McEuen and children of Hodges, AL; grandchildren, Finley Dunlap, Draper Dunlap, and Jovie Merritt.  He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Susan.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, May 20 ^th , 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO.  Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
