Thomas Michael "Tom" Williams, 56, St. Joseph, Missouri passed from this life on Thursday, October 6, 2016, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born December 16, 1959 in St. Joseph to David, Sr. and June (Irwin) Williams. He was a 1978 graduate of Lafayette High School. Tom had worked at Johnson Controls and was an Associate Supervisor Trainee for Aldi's. Tom married Angela Young on August 9, 2008 in Elwood, Kansas. He had a great Love for his family and friends and enjoyed time with his children and their sports. Tom enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and always enjoyed their annual July 4th celebration with his family. He was an avid bowler and won 2nd+.024 in State Bowling Tournament. Tom was a member of Strong Tower Baptist Church.
Survivors: his wife, Angie Williams, of the home; 4 sons, Ryan Williams, K.C., MO, Spencer (Brooke) Williams, of Overland Park, KS, their mother and stepfather, Christy (Todd) Sparks, Savannah, MO, Ryley and Jon Williams of the home; 4 brothers, David, Jr. (Sandy) Williams, Republic, MO, Ron (Karen) Williams, St. Joseph, Tony (Rick) Williams, Trenton, MO and Jody (Mary) Williams, St. Joseph; 5 sisters, Judy Powers, Phoenix, AZ, Peggy Meade, Sheila (Don) Graves, Becky (Rick) Seward and Tina (Rick) Woodley, all of St. Joseph; mother-in-law, Ethel Lawson, Elwood, KS, father-in-law, Mike (Bobbi) Young, Jacksonville, Arkansas, sister-in-law, Melissa Cuckovic, PA, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nancy Williams.
Celebration of Life: 10a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at Strong Tower Baptist Church at 3406 St. Joseph Avenue, St. Joseph. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be 5 to 8 pm Sunday at the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. Memorial donations can be made to Ryley and Jon Williams educational fund. Arrangements entrusted to Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MO.
