Teresa J. Anderson, 94, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016, at her home in St. Joseph. She was born September 25, 1921, in Clyde, Missouri, to William and Annie (Piese) Eckery. Teresa married Aubrey Anderson on June 25, 1953, in St. Joseph, and he survives of the home
Teresa loved her family and the time she spent with them. She was a wonderful dancer who enjoyed square dancing, river dancing and clogging. She was an amazing seamstress who made costumes, clothing, wedding dresses and Barbie doll clothing.
Teresa is survived by: her husband, Aubrey; one son, Frederick R. Walker Jr., of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Teresa K. Anderson, of St. Joseph; four grandchildren, Anna M. Wholf-Findlay, Michael J. Walker, James Walker and Megan Anderson; and five great-grandchildren. Teresa was preceded in death by: her parents; one son, Michael Anderson; one brother, Frank Eckery; and one half-brother.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, in Savannah, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to Mosaic Hospice.
