Teddy Eugene Kepner, 53 of St Joseph, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Mosaic Life Care. Teddy was born in St. Joseph on June 30, 1964 to the late Bill Kepner and Edna Sutton.
Teddy graduated from Lafayette High School in 1982. He loved his dogs Wuzy and Daisy. He especially loved spending time with his family and watching sports. Fourth of July and Christmas was his favorite holidays. He was employed at the News Press for almost 30 years. He married Jennifer Smith and their union was from 1998 to 2013. He was proud to be an American, proud of his family, and proud of his many friendships he made throughout the community.
Survivors include: sons William Kepner and Christopher Kepner of the home; mother Edna Sutton of St Joseph; Brothers: Donnie (Susie) Sutton of St Joseph, Terry (Angie) Kepner of St Joseph, Mark Kepner of St Joseph, and Erik (Jennifer) Kepner of St Joseph; Sisters: Sheila (Roger) Reed of Dekalb, Mo, Tami (Rob) Meers of St Joseph, Tracy (Alvie) Christofferson of St Joseph, and Jennifer Sutton of St Joseph; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was proceeded in death by his father Bill Kepner, step-father Frank Sutton, maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation and family receiving hours will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6-8pm at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home. There will be no funeral as cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials/donations to be sent to Goetz Credit Union reference Teddy E Kepner. This memorial fund will be used to help his two sons.
