Steve Tipton of Savannah \ Rosendale MO area, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. He was born October 10, 1954 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Vernon & Norma (Hilton) Tipton. He married Karen Kendall in Savannah on December 31, 1980 and she survives of the home. They were married for 35 years.
Steve loved his family and all the precious moments he had with them. He enjoyed camping, fishing, trucking, mule riding, friends, and family. Steve was a truck driver for 40 years and together he and his wife owned and operated Tipton Trucking. He was a member of the Rosendale Christian Church and was blessed to be baptized with his family in attendance.
Steve is survived by his parents, his wife; one son, Jesse & Rachael Tipton of Fillmore; one daughter, Amy & Jeramy Nester of Rosendale; one sister, Kathy & Bill Brinton of St. Joseph. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Tipton and brother-in-law, Ben Kendall.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Burial will be at the Fillmore Cemetery in Fillmore, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Steven Tipton Memorial Fund in care of Nodaway Valley Bank.
