Steven L. Morey, 71, Savannah, went to be with the Lord, July 30, 2018 surrounded by family at KU Med Center, Kansas City, KS. He was born in St. Joseph, MO on June 2, 1947 to George & Genevieve (Cook) Morey. He married Connie Kline in St. Joseph, MO on June 6, 1969 and she survives of the home.
Steven's lifetime occupation was an Autobody repairman and foreman. He was originally from Kansas, lived with his wife there, and then they later moved to Missouri. After retirement, he restored John Deere tractors with a friend. He also loved his draft horses, tinkering on the farm, and old cars. He loved his family and his grandkids dearly and they were his pride and joy.
Steven is survived by his wife, daughters, Lisa (Jim)Simerly of Savannah, Karrie(Kevin) Kessler of Forest City, MO, son, Jamie (Shelly) Morey of Dearborn, MO, three brothers, Nathan (Charlott) Morey of Centerton, AR, Dennis (Margaret) Morey of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Tom (Annette) Morey of Gravett, AR; sister, Beverly Cross of St. Joseph; grandchildren Kaleb & Madi Kessler, Hannah & Grace Simerly, Josh Kessler, Kauri Patterson, and Tyler, Aaron, and Tiffany Newcomer. He also had 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Morey.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at Breit Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO with burial service to follow at Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO.
