Shirley Jean Bowlin, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away on May 17th, 2022 at a local hospital in St. Joseph, MO. She was born in a farmhouse in rural Andrew County on August 31st, 1947 to Ernest & May (Rogers) Bowlin.

Shirley had the biggest, purest heart, which had been abused and used, but she never let it break her spirit of kindness. She was blunt and to the point and did not beat around the bush. If you got on her bad side, she'd let you know. She loved the KC Chiefs unless Patrick Mahomes was losing yards.

Survivors include her son, Stephen "Craig" Fletchall of St. Joseph, and brother Richard (Carol) Bowlin of Holt, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Betty Canon.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 26th, 2022 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. A private family inurnment will be held at the Savannah Cemetery at a later date.
