Shelly Renee Baker, 57 of St. Joseph, MO passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at a local hospital in St. Joseph.  Shelly was born in St. Joseph, on July 21, 1967 to Larry & Shirley (Maudlin) Proctor.  She married Terry Dean Baker in Mound City, MO on May 7, 1988 and he survives of the home.

Shelly was a devoted wife and mother.  She owned and operated her own business titled Shelly Baker Tax Service for many years, was involved in PTA, and enjoyed traveling for Logan's baseball games throughout the Midwest.  Shelly was an avid cat lover and raised her son Logan to be kind and respectful to all animals.  She also enjoyed traveling adventures with Terry throughout their marriage making memories and stories to share along the way.

Shelly collected all kinds of monkey dolls and statues, glass shoe figurines, and had over150 Santas which was a hobby handed down to her by her mother as Christmas was a favorite family holiday.

Survivors include her husband; son, Logan (Caleigh) Baker of Platte City, MO; siblings, Christopher (Lori) Proctor of Cameron, MO, Veronica (Jeff) Vendelboe of Savannah, MO; along with numerous family and friends.

Memorial visitation and family receiving hours will be 5:00pm-7:00pm Monday, December 2, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO.  Memorial services will be 10:00am Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Breit Hawkins Funeral Home.
