Sharon Kay Raines, 83, of Cosby, MO went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 3, 2024 at a local nursing facility in Savannah.  She was born July 25, 1940 to John Gilbert and Agnes Irene (Meers) Elliott. She married her soulmate Herman Duane Raines on September 9, 1960 in Savannah, MO and he survives of the home.

Sharon was active with her church and loved being outside.  She was a 1958 graduate of Savannah High School.  Sharon worked at Noma Lites before starting a career in the income tax field. She enjoyed going to all of her nieces and nephews ball games, birthday parties, and any other activities they were involved in.  Sharon will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Mosaic, Shady Lawn, and ASERA Hospice for the tender care they gave her.

Survivors include her husband; children, Randy D. Raines of Stanberry and Terry (Thom) Schwarz of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Tommy Schwarz of St. Joseph and Aaron (Kyoko) Schwarz of Japan; brothers, Larry (Cheryl) Elliott of Leavenworth, KS, Donald (Christie) Elliott of McKinney, TX, and Stanley (Vickie) Elliott of Saint Augustine, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eunice Bennington and Barbara Elliott and grandchild, Zachary Schwarz.

Visitation and family receiving hour will be 1:00pm-2:00pm, Thursday February 8, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah MO. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Thursday February 8, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Cosby, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
