Sandra Kay Kennedy was born October 3rd, 1965 to Doris Sullivan and Jerald Nielson. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by family and loved ones on December 12 th , 2022. She was 57 years old, but 29 to those who knew her best.
She leaves behind her husband of 36 years, John Kennedy of the home, son Ben (Asako) Nielson of Japan, Jenifer (Tyson) Berry of Cosby and Ashley (Brandon) Wilson of Rosendale. Sandy also leaves behind her "little big brother" Jay Nielson of Independence, sister Anita (Tom) Vestering of Kansas, Diane and Jim Sipes of Amazonia, who she loved like brother and sister. She leaves her greatest loves and joys, her grandchildren, Bradynn, Landen, Mason, Meina, Yuika and Logan. She loved these kiddos with her whole being.
Sandy devoted 23 years at International Paper. She made lifelong friends there. She enjoyed working beside her peers and bantering through the day. While not working, Sandy enjoyed catching bigger fish than the men, crocheting blankets for those she loved and spending time with family.
Visitation and family receiving hours will be 6:00pm-8:00pm, Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00am, Friday, December 18, 2022 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery in Graham, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to Asera Care Hospice.
The family would like to express great gratitude to Asera Care Hospice for the phenomenal care for not only Sandy, but the entire family.
