Ruth Ann Shepherd passed away on June 28, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loved ones in Savannah, Mo.  She was born in Wymore, NE., on December 3 ^rd , 1940 to Harlan Claire & Charlene Alice (Houston) Gilmore.  She married David Charles Shepherd in College Springs, IA on December 10, 1960 and he survives of the home.

Ruth Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma.  She organized their children's events and attended all activities while working full time at Light and Power as a clerk.  She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and loved the Lord.  She enjoyed quilting and cross stitching.  She made over 30 beautiful, cherished quilts and numerous cross-stitched pieces. She demonstrated her love to friends and family through cross-stitching. She blessed many with personalized cross-stitched pictures of important life events. Ruth Ann was known for her humor and devotion to her family.

Survivors include sons, Dennis Shepherd of Garfield, AR, Steve (Karen) Shepherd of Branson, MO; daughter, Diane Shepherd of Branson, MO; grandchildren, Alexis (Lucas) Britton of Branson and Sydney (Cameron) Paschke of Branson, MO; great grandchildren, Rowan Britton and (arriving in August,) Brooks Paschke; sister, Elaine Hilsabeck of Country Club, MO; sister-in-law, Rita Gilmore of Clarinda, IA, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Harlan Claire, Jr, and beloved brother, Bill Gilmore.

Private family inurnment services will be at a later date.  Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home of Savannah, MO is in charge of local arrangements.
