Robert "Bob" A. Wisler Jr, 78, of Wathena, KS went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at his home in Wathena. He was born September 12, 1939 in Troy, KS to Robert A. Sr. & Lena Mae (Morris) Wisler. He married Norma Jeane McVey in Troy, KS June 11, 1959 and she survives of the home.
Loved his family and the wonderful times he was able to spend with them. He enjoyed woodworking, horses, and hunting. He was a member of Elwood Assembly of God in Elwood, KS. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, father, two sons, Dennis (Kim) Wisler of Wathena, KS, and Robert E. (Cara) Wisler of Sedalia, MO; one sister Sharron (Jr) Embrey of St. Joseph; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Georgia) Wisler, Aaron (Annette) Wisler, Darian Wisler,
Robert "Kipp" (Ashley) Wisler, Austin (Crystal) Duffey, and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be 10-11a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Wathena Volunteer Fire Dept. C/O Farmers State Bank in Wathena, KS.
