Robert Owen Wasson Sr., 73 of Savannah, passed away Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 at a local hospital in St. Joseph. He was born November 17th 1949 to Robert A. and Cora Ruth (Withrow) Wasson.  He married Deanna Faye Bowland on October 17th, 1975 at the United Methodist Church in Savannah MO and she survives of the home.

Robert proudly served in the US Navy for four years during the Vietnam conflict. And two years in the reserves. He worked in drywall for over 30 years.  He was an active member of the Amazonia VFW Post 12053, where he had many different jobs.

He was an active member of the Savannah United Methodist Church where he attended, most of his life.

Survivors include his wife; children, Robert (Lori) Wasson Jr. and Tom (Bonnie) Wasson all of Savannah; brother, Rev. William (Sharon) Wasson of St. Joseph; sister, Patricia (Jasper) Penland of Savannah; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Monday July 24th, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Savannah.  Visitation and family receiving hour with be 10:00am-11:00am, Monday July 24th, 2023 at the United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow the funeral services in Bennett Lane Cemetery.
