Robert (Bob) M. Pile

Robert (Bob) Pile passed away on September 13, 2019 from complications of Lewy Body Dementia. He was a resident of, Savannah, Missouri, but had spent the past three years at the Oregon Care Center in Oregon, Missouri.

He was the oldest child of Hollis Pile and Loretta Fink Pile, born on August 30, 1947. He was predeceased by his father.

Bob was a lifelong farmer in Holt County, raising corn and soybeans. He attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and Northwest Missouri State in Maryville and held a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture-business. He had been a Mason and had served on the Board of Directors of Golden Triangle Energy, an ethanol plant in Craig Missouri. He also had served on the Board of Directors of Missouri Corn Growers. Bob was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in. St. Joseph, Missouri.

Bob married Tricia Lamoree on December 2, 2000. They lived in Dearborn, Missouri for the first five years of their marriage, but after Tricia retired from her job in Kansas City in 2005 they built their dream home in Savannah.

Bob loved fishing, golf, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs. For many years he and Tricia held season tickets to the Chiefs games. He also loved to travel, having visited all of the 50 states. He and Tricia also took several trips to Europe, seeing England, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, France, Portugal and Spain. They also visited most of the Caribbean islands and spent time in Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast of Mexico almost every winter.

Bob is survived by his wife; his mother, Loretta Pile, and his sisters, Becky Wingfield (Greg) and Marcia Jackson (Jim), all of Oregon, Missouri. He is also survived by his stepson, Mark Lamoree, of Kansas City, MO, his step-granddaughter, Bianca Scout Lamoree of Parkville, Missouri; his niece, Christie Jackson of San Diego, California; and numerous cousins.

Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 10:00 am, memorial service following at 11:00 am, St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4715 Frederick Ave. St. Joseph. MO.  Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah is in charge of local arrangements.
