Rich Kennedy, 73, Savannah, took his first breath in heaven surrounded by his family Saturday, October 19, 2019 at a local hospital in St. Joseph, MO. He was born March 23, 1946 in Springfield, MO to Howard and Claire Kennedy. He married Sandra Walton on March 20, 1970 at Antioch Christian Church near Fillmore, MO.

Rich was president of Walton Motors, Inc. in Savannah since 1977. He was an honorary member of the Boy Scouts Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was a 50-year member of Savannah Masonic Lodge 71.  He was continuously investing in his community.  Rich was baptized of the Christian faith and attended Green Valley Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy, children; Kim (Cindy) Kennedy of Cosby, MO, Brett (Kimberly) Kennedy of Savannah, Brian (Aimee) Kennedy of Savannah, and Brandy (Scott) Lance of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren, Andrew (Brandi) Kennedy, Bailey, Jacob, Kaden, Dakoda Kennedy and Kason Lance; great-grandchildren, Rosalie and Ruger Kennedy; God-daughter LaKiesha Anderson, Mother-in-Law Frances Walton, along with a multitude of family & friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Family visitation and receiving hours will be Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO.  Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO. Memorials may be given to the Andrew County Food Pantry.
