Regina Marilyn "Jeanie" Puett, 85, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at her home in St. Joseph, MO. She was born in the Fillmore, MO area on January 27, 1932 to Floyd & Jennie (Lightle) Hershaw. She married Charles Puett Jr. on May 16, 1951 in St. Joseph. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Jeanie was a family oriented person. Family came first and she loved them dearly. She lived in her home over 60 years. She enjoyed baking, camping, and spending time with her most precious people, her family.
She is survived by two sons, Chuck & Marie Puett of Clarksdale, MO and Tim Puett & Angie Walker of St. Joseph; one daughter, Becky & Mark Pettegrew of St. Joseph; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Wendell Hershaw of Steelville, MO; sister in law, Charlotte Prater of Savannah, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, Ethel Nease, Mildred Aitchison, Genila McGuire, and Cloma Christmas.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 10:00am at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Visitation will begin after 12:00PM Friday, September 8, and the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Burial will be in Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to Community Presbyterian Church.
