Ramona Lu (Hamilton) Quinn, 79, St. Joseph, Missouri passed from this life on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Living Community, St. Joseph. She was born September 13, 1937 in Holt, Missouri to Raymond and Luda (Wilhoit) Hamilton. She grew up on her parent's farm in Holt, Missouri. Ramona married Charles "Bill" Quinn in Kingsland, Georgia on July 3, 1955 and he preceded her in death on August 1, 1970. She received her Nursing Degree from Missouri Western State College and was an LPN for the Cameron Hospital and Carriage Square Health Care Center. Ramona was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed Building puzzles and loved her dog, Jolie Sue.
Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, James and Jamie Quinn, John and Tammy Quinn, all of St. Joseph; daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and John Mullican, Topeka, KS, Natalie and Jim Ridgwell, La Junta, CO, Rhonda and Chuck James, Las Vegas, NV; stepbrother, Jimmy Harless, Salem, Oregon; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; friend and caregiver Rhonda LaFave. Ramona was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Wanda Hooper and her beloved dogs, Sasha, Barry and Ruffles. The Family would like to express their gratitude to Rhonda for her wonderful care for Ramona. A Memorial Celebration of Life and Inurnment will be 1:00PM, Saturday, October, 22, 2016 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Plattsburg, MO. There is no scheduled visitation. Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society, St. Joseph.
