Oren Lee Stephenson, 6 of Savannah, MO, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Children's Mercy Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born, Yakie Omar Greene, Jr, on December 12, 2019 and he was fostered and officially adopted into the Stephenson family, Oren Lee Stephenson, on April 3, 2025.

He loved his family, singing with Christina, 4-wheeler rides with Jackson and splashing Mom and Dad in the pool with Liam and Ginny. Matchbox cars and Hot wheels were always in his hands, and he was always up for a good snuggle in the chair with a good movie, like Moana or Cars.

Survivors include his parents, Daniel and Rebecca (Case) Stephenson; siblings, Christina Stephenson, Jackson Stephenson, Liam Stephenson and Ginny Stephenson; grandparents, David and Rhonda Stephenson, Luke and Stacey Case, Robert and Ethel Herring.

Visitation and family receiving hours will be 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, July 13, 2026 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Cornerstone Church in Chillicothe, MO.  Burial will follow in Braden Cemetery in Coloma, MO.  Memorial donations can be given in Oren's name to Children's Mercy Hospital or Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars can be brought to the services and will be donated to the hospital. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
