Nathan C. Jenkins Jr., 82, Kearney, Mo passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, MO. He was born September 23, 1936 in Savannah, MO to Nathan C. Sr & Mary (Townsend) Jenkins. He married Frances Bryant in November 1978 and she survives of the home.
Nathan was a devoted husband, father, and Christian, baptized at Pleasant Valley Church in Liberty, MO. He served as a commissioned officer in the US Army. He was a member and past president of two antique car clubs, Veterans Motor Car Club of America and Kansas City Chuggers. He was a 50-year St. Joseph Masonic Lodge member.
Nathan is survived by his wife of 42 years, Frances Jenkins of Kearney, MO; two sons; Mike (Jan) Woodward of Kearney, MO and Mark (Sharon) Andrew of Liberty, MO; two brothers, Ronnie Jenkins of San Antonio, TX and David Jenkins of Concord, CA; five grandchildren, Karla Woodward, Shanna Daniels, Alicia Woodward, Joshua Andrew, and Matthew Andrew; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tom Jenkins, and daughter, Bobbi Lynn Woodward.
Memorial services will be held Saturday March 2, 2019 at 10:30am at Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association 4126, 3846 W 75th St, Prairie Village, KS 66208. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home is nc charge of local arrangements.
