Nancy Lee Simmons 64, St. Joseph, MO passed away, April 4, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. She was born April 24, 1952 to Hervey L. & Alma May (Huff) Simmons.
Nancy was always smiling and happy. She enjoyed people and never met a stranger. She was a wonderful friend, sister, and aunt.
Nancy is survived by her loving companion, Michael Barsch of the home; three brothers, Hervey (Alice) Simmons of St. Joseph, Lester (Teresa) Simmons of St. Joseph, and Harold Simmons of Gower; two sisters, Kathryn (Ronnie) Hailey of Union Star, and Judie (Dennis) Atwood of St. Joseph; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister-in-law, Sylvia Simmons.
A Celebration of Life will be 10:00am Friday, April 7, 2017 at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm at Gladden Stamey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery in St. Joseph.
