Minnie L. Haenni, 89, Savannah, passed away peacefully on Sept. 16 at her home surrounded by family. Minnie was born on November 23, 1933, to Julius C. and Minnie (Jann) Bunse. She graduated from Clarksdale High School. She married Jack R. Haenni on February 15, 1958 and he preceded her in death in 2015.
Minnie was a beloved wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma and spoke often of how her family was everything to her. She cooked Sunday dinners for whichever family members could be there up until her health declined. She also lovingly tended to her annual flower and vegetable gardens which brought her great joy. She looked forward to each year's bounty and spent countless hours canning vegetables and making jelly. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend to many. Minnie was a member of the Savannah United Methodist Church.
Surviving family includes: brother Wilbur (Barbara), St. Joseph; sons, Randy, Savannah and Jim (Stephanie), St. Joseph; daughters, Lori Mitchell (Mark), Tarkio, and Serena Loving (Michael), Smithville; eleven grandchildren, Elise Haenni, Beth Ann Kerns (Zach), Grace Haenni, J.R. Mitchell, Jacob Mitchell (Brittany), Christopher Mitchell (Allison) Sophia Henry (Blake), Lily Loving, Maggie Loving, Lucian Haenni, and Harper Haenni; great- grandsons, Raymond and Andy Mitchell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Loris, Charles, and John, and great-granddaughter Willow Henry.
Visitation and family receiving hours will be 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Breit- Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery.
