Michael G. Kelly, 73, St. Joseph, MO passed from this life on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Missouri Veterans Home, Cameron, MO. He was born in St. Joseph, MO on December 12, 1941 to Royce and Genevieve (Drimmel) Kelly.
Michael married Karen McKeever on December 31, 1963 in Las Vegas, NV and she preceded him in death on March 24, 2004. He was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church. Michael was in the Navy (Seebees Construction) during Vietnam. He had worked as an Electrician for Local #545, was a member of the Dick Munkres American Legion Post # 287, Savannah, MO and VFW Post #6760, St. Joseph, MO. Michael loved his family and the time he spent with them. He received his 16 year sobriety pin from AA in March 2015.
Survivors include his son, Michael Klancey Kelly, Kansas City, KS; two daughters, Jeaneen Kelly, Savannah, MO and Patricia (Patrick) Kulak, St. Joseph, MO; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Celebration of life will be Monday 10 AM, May 18, at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MO. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be Sunday May 17, 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Gladden - Stamey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO.
