Mary Katherine (Dakan) Harrington-Halloran 99, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 22, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO. She was born November 21, 1915 to Otis & Mary Jane (Boggess) Dakan in Savannah, MO.

Kate was a lifelong Savannah resident and worked at Clardys Crafts and was a custodian at SHS. She had an insurance business with her first husband and also drove semi trucks. She loved quilting, gardening, cooking and antiquing. Most of all she loved her friends and family. She will be sorely missed.

Survivors include one stepson, Harold James, and wife Craig; daughter-in-law, Peggy Halloran; sister in law Verna lee;four grandchildren, Kelly, Rich and Ryan and JP, and four great-great grandchildren, Derek, Colton, Brittney and Jaiden; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jane Albers, her first husband Cotton Harrington, second husband Harold Halloran and a stepson Richard Halloran, as well as one brother Buster and two sisters Eva Gilmore and Gwen Dakan.

Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 2, 2015 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home; Savannah, MO. Interment will be in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be 10 to 11 AM Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Funeral Home.
