Mary Virginia Hoover Cash Jinkens, Savannah, MO passed away Tuesday April, 26 2016 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. She was born December 24, 1922 in Iredell County North Carolina to A.A. & Mary (Benfield) Hoover.
Virginia loved her family and they brought her much joy. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and growing flowers. Virginia was a generous person that would do anything for you. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Luther Church of Troutman, NC. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Lady's Auxiliary.
Virginia is survived by one son, Sam & Vicki Cash of St. Joseph; one daughter, Sonna & Virgil Davison of Savannah; one sister, Pauline Mills of Troutman, NC; two grandchildren, Bryan Davison, and Angela & Gary Chavez; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Davison, Tasha Pike, and Bradley, Alex, and Abby Chavez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers killed in WWII, three sisters, and two grandsons, Shawn Davison, Andrew Cash, and one great grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00AM Saturday, April 30, 2016 with Pastor George Watts officiating at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO. Memorial donations may be made to VFW Auxiliary Post 12053.
