Marjorie L Hontz, 82, Savannah, Mo passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at LaVerna Village in St. Joseph, MO. She was born February 19, 1937 in Maryville, MO to Ira Newlon (Helen) & Edna Ruth Ingram. (Kenneth) She married Bob Hontz in St. Joseph on January 18th, 1958 and he survives of the home.

Marjorie loved her family above all things. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, horses, and her Yorkie dogs. She worked at Noma Lights, Whitaker Cable, Big Smith and Sherwood Medical. Marge didn't know a stranger and loved with her entire heart all the time.

Marjorie is survived by her husband; children, Debbie Hontz and Lorie Huff both of St. Joseph; brothers, Kenneth Jr. Ingram of St. Joseph; half siblings Iris Ditamore of Maryville Robert Newlon of North Carolina, Maurice (Vickie) Newlon of Cameron. Grandchildren, Tyson (Romeo) Huff-Garza, and Channing (Travis) Sipes; great-grandchildren, Quaid Sipes, Baylor Sipes, and Krew Huff-Garza. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her son Steven Hontz, brother Carol Newlon, sister Maryruth McDonald, half siblings Ira and Helen Newlon, Dorothy Heneggler, Larrry Newlon, Roberta Aley.

Memorial visitation will be held Monday April 22, 2019 from 6:00pm-7:00pm and Celebration of life service from 7:00pm-8:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO.
