Margaret Mae (Thorburn) Pryor, 91, passed away April 23, 2022 at Vintage Garden's, St. Joseph, Missouri. She was born November 20, 1930 to the late Emery and Lola (VanSchoiack) Thorburn and had one sibling. She was married to Virgil Lewis Pryor for sixty years who preceded her in death.
She was an active member of Fillmore Christian Church and lived most of her life in the Fillmore community. She loved working in her flower gardens, thrift shopping, and attending local dances. She was the 1948 Apple Blossom Queen, Chairman of the Fillmore Community Club, and served as an Ombudsman. She dearly loved the community of Fillmore and will be missed by her friends and family members.
Survivors include; children, Daniel "Boone" Pryor of Creston, Iowa, Rebecca (Ronald) Swymeler of Woodburn, Indiana, Marion (Kim) Pryor of Fillmore, David "Brad" (Kelly) Pryor of St. Joseph, Matthew (Marsha) Pryor of Savannah, and Step-daughter Dixie (Jerry) Ham of Platte City, Missouri. Margaret was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother, Robert (Esther) Thorburn and two great-grandsons.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Breit Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah. Visitation 6:00pm-8:00pm, Tuesday April 26, 2022 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fillmore Cemetery, Fillmore, MO. Memorials in her honor may be given to the Fillmore Christian Church.
