Louella J. Messick, 97, of Fillmore went home to be with the Lord on Friday October 4, 2024, in Mound City, MO.  Louella was born June 11, 1927 in Ravenwood, MO. to Byrd & Ethel (Lewis) Edwards.

She was a member of the Fillmore Church of God where she played the organ during worship. Louella was also a beautiful singer. She sang & played the organ at many funerals & weddings, which she was very proud of.

Louella married William (Bill) Messick of Fillmore, MO on April 28, 1946. They had 6 children; James, Carol David (Cindy), Stephen, Brenda (Robert Steeby), all deceased, Rebecca (Kerk Lewis) Joplin, MO, & Billie (Clare) Fillmore, MO.  Louella had four sisters & three brothers; Maxine, Winifred, Byrdine, Elizabeth, George (Bud), Billie, & James (Jim), all deceased.

She had 9 grandchildren, many great, & great great-grandchildren that she dearly loved.  She will be greatly missed.  Private memorial services will be at a later date.  Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home of Savannah, MO is in charge of local arrangements.
