Lorene (Cole) Berry, 101, St. Joseph, Missouri passed from this life on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. She was born March 3, 1914 in Forest City, Missouri to Oliver and Dayse (Vogan) Cole.
Lorene had worked at Whitaker Cable, Englehart and Davison and was a homemaker. She was a member of Maxwell Heights Presbyterian Church. Lorene married Osie Berry on Feb. 12, 1936 in St. Joseph and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2000.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Graf, St. Joseph, MO; sons, Norman Berry, Savannah, MO and Gerald Berry, St. Joseph, MO; brothers; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 35 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Geraldine Berry and Edith Guinn; brothers Oliver, Jessie, Walker and William Cole; sisters Olive Clark, Laveta Bishop, Alice Clark, Averil Larson and Ida Golden; one great grandchild and one great great grandchild.
Lorene has been cremated. Private Graveside Memorial Celebration of Life and Inurnment will be held Friday March 13, 2015 at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
