Lois Ida Davis, 83, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at her home in St. Joseph, MO. She was born on November 18, 1934 in McMillan, MI to Harvey and Erma (Viland) Mainville. She married Rex Davis on September 18, 1954 in Albany, MO and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Lois made her home in St. Joseph for over 60 years. She was a nurse at the state hospital for 35+ years. But Lois's life was taking care of her kids. She also loved her flowers and working in her yard. Another pastime Lois enjoyed was reading novels. She could often be seen visiting with neighbors. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lois is survived by two sons; Norbie Davis of St. Joseph and Ronald (& Diana) Davis of Council Bluffs, IA; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Donna McKowen of Agency, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, her husband, Rex and daughter, Donna Jo Lagenour.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 3:00pm at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 2:00pm - 3:00pm at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home in St. Joseph.
