Lillian Erma Beattie, 104, Savannah, MO, passed away on Monday April 25, 2016 at LaVerna Village here in St. Joseph. She was born December 4, 1911 to Robert & Luella (Roberts) Glenn. She married Paulette Beattie in St Joseph on December 4, 1930 and he preceded her in death in 1990.
Lillian was a member of the O.E.S. chapter #223 and the Stitch and Chatter Club. She made all her granddaughters wedding dresses. She loved to laugh and carry on with her family. She sang in the United Methodist Choir for 30 years.
Lillian is survived by two sons, Billy & Kay Beattie of Savannah and Bob Beattie of St. Joseph; one sister, Bonnie Spencer of California; four grandchildren, Debra & Roger Consolver, Sherry & Martin Tunks, Steve Beattie, and Deanne & Mark Lofts; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and six sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00PM Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Savannah United Methodist Church in Savannah, MO. Visitation and family receiving hours will be Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at the Savannah United Methodist Church in Savannah, MO. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, MO.
