Lila Marie Harvey, 84, of Kansas City, MO formerly of St. Joseph passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at NorthCare Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. She was born in Amazonia, MO September 14, 1932 to Charles & Sylvia (Jenkins) Elliott. She married Gene Harvey in St. Joseph, MO on October 26, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 2002.
Lila was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always smiling and enjoyed talking with people. She was a great cook and her family enjoyed eating all her tasty creations.
She is survived by two daughters; Kathy Harvey of St. Joseph and Karen Harvey Myers of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Helen McCush and Ginny Hinkle both of St. Joseph; six grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy) Ginn, Stephanie (Nick) Myers, Steven Myers, Cody (Jessi) Myers, Carly Myers, and John Dylan Myers; and three great-grandchildren, Jaden Myers, Lila Waldo, and Hadrian Myers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Kevin Harvey and infant son Clarence Harvey; five brothers, Harold, Clarence, Leonard, Charles David, and John Paul Elliott; and one sister, Arda Eberhart.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017, at St. John's Church in Amazonia, MO under the direction of Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah.
