LaVerne "Lefty" Dale Loeffelholz, 86, Union Star, MO, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at his home.  He was born May 11, 1936 in Riverdale, Nebraska, and lived most of his life in the State of Nebraska.  He married Kathie Jones in Grand Island, NE on November 22, 1996.  She survives of the home.

"Lefty" was a lifelong horseman, ranch hand, and animal lover. He worked at numerous farms and meat packing plants in Central Nebraska throughout his life.

Other survivors include his sons, Tod Loeffelholz of Rea, MO, Kurt (Mary) Loeffelholz of Savannah, MO, Levi (Shana) Loeffelholz of Grand Island, NE, Gary Warford of Hastings, NE, Woodrow Warford of Union Star, MO, John Peysen of Council Bluffs, IA, and three daughters, Rolanda Kuccer of Beatrice, NE, Vickie Palmer of Tucson, AZ, and Anissa (John) Mercer of Union Star, MO. There are 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

LaVerne "Lefty" Dale Loeffelholz was preceded in death by his parents: William & Thelma (Zimmerman) Loeffelholz, a son, Vernon Jay Loeffelholz; a daughter, Teresa "Terri" Jo Loeffelholz; one brother, Robert Loeffelholz and three sisters: Diana Wright, Barbara Konsella, and Mary Palmer.

Graveside services will be held 10:30am, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Kearney Cemetery in Kearney Nebraska.  Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO is in charge of local arrangements.
