Landon Keith Smith, 18, of Savannah, MO entered heaven's gates on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. He was born March 12, 1999 to Steve and Kelly (Grossman) Smith.
Landon was a 2017 graduate of Savannah High School who had recently signed papers to join the military. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all adventures the outdoors offered. In addition to his passion for the outdoors, Landon also had a love for the rodeo. Through the rodeo, he won many trophies and belt bucklesa testament to his many talents. Landon never met a stranger and was called a friend by all who had the privilege of meeting him. He held his family and friends closest to his heart. While Landon's life was far too short, it was memorableso much so that a #LiveLikeLandon campaign has ignited on social media.
Landon is survived by his parents, Steve and Kelly Smith; his brother, Cole Smith; his sister, Morgan Smith, and her fiancé, Jacob Shipman; his maternal great grandparents, Virgil and Lula Mae Grossman; his paternal grandparents, Bob and Judy Smith; his maternal grandparents, Kathy and Mark (Grossman) Freeman; his uncles, Mike Grossman, Chris (Heather) Grossman, and Jason (Tausha) Smith; and his cousins, Peyton and Drake Smith, and Isabella, Caden, and Mila Grossman. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Rodney Smith, and his maternal grandfather, Gene Grossman.
A memorial visitation and family receiving hours will be held Thursday, January 18th, from 4 PM to 6 PM at First Baptist Church in Savannah, MO.
