LaMont "Pete" S. Pederson, 75, passed from this life on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO. He was born November 23, 1939 in St. Joseph, MO to James and Elsie (Wells) Pederson.

LaMont married Sally Lieb on January 18, 1967 in St. Joseph, MO and she survives of the home. He worked at Artesian Ice and Cold Storage for 19 years and enjoyed delivering the ice to customers. Lamont never met a stranger and like to fish. He retired from Heartland Hospital as a lab courier in 2002.

Survivors include his wife Sally of the home; two sons, Randy Pederson, Lakeland, FL, and Jody Lieb, Savannah, MO; one daughters, Debbie Krick, Cincinnati, OH; two brothers, Ronnie, and Michael Pederson; two sisters, Sharon Dozier and Laura Wattenbarger; nine grandchildren Amy Pederson, James Pederson, David Pederson, Becky Ballard, Steve Ballard, Rhonda Walker, Billie Joe Pederson, Justin Lieb, and Krystyn Lieb; Lamont was preceded in death by his parents and one son Billy Pederson and one brother.

Public visitation and family receiving hours will be 6 to 8 PM Friday January 2, 2015 at Breit - Hawkins Funeral Home; Savannah, MO. Inurnment will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery at a later date.
