Kathy Darlene Scanlan, 77 of Savannah, MO passed away at her home on Wednesday October 1, 2025 in Savannah.  She was born in Storm Lake, IA. on May 24, 1948 to Merle and Dorothy "Dee" (Hotchkiss) Cockburn.  She married Michael Dennis Scanlan Sr on October 17, 1964 in Creston, IA and he survives of the home.

Kathy was a loving caregiver to all her family.  She enjoyed fishing, bowling, and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, children; Mike (Kim) Scanlan Jr. of Amazonia, MO, Tricia (Rod) Gilmore of Washington State, and Jason (Teresa) Scanlan of Colorado; grandchildren, Michael Scanlan III, Jennifer Scanlan, Cole Gilmore, Samantha Kornegay, Ellie Gilmore, Whitnea Scanlan, Sage Scanlan, and Hilirea Wermelskirchen; numerous great-grandchildren; and brothers, Mike (Sara) Cockburn of Greenfield, IA and Bruce (Penni) Cockburn of Uma, AZ.

Visitation and family receiving hours will be 12:00pm-1:00pm Saturday October 4, 2025 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO.  Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday October 4, 2025 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Savannah Cemetery in Savannah, MO.
