Kathryn Lucille Raines, 81, Savannah, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2018 at a local health care facility in St. Joseph. She was born on May 3, 1937 in Forest City to Andrew & Lucille (Scott) Dryden. She married Billie Lee Raines on March 30, 1957 in Forest City, MO and he preceded her in death in January 2007.
Kathryn liked to dance and be around and enjoy people. She liked gardening and keeping up with current events. She was generous and loved to go shopping. She loved her family and wanted to spend as much time with them as she could. Sunday drives were always an adventure going to see their Longhorn Cattle. She worked for Laverna Village Savannah for over 30 years.
Kathryn is survived by two daughters, Vickie (Ron) Oliver of Rogersville, MO and Cindy Leader & Dennis Herrod of Savannah, MO; three grandchildren, Brandon (Jennifer) Oliver of Springfield, MO, Jadra (Yoskaly) Lazo Fernandez of Lawrence, KS, and Tiffany (Tyler) Wilmes of Bolckow, MO, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Michael Raines; grandson, Chase Leader; and brother, Jim Dryden.
Visitation and family receiving hours will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Funeral Services will be Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10:00am at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Burial will be in Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
