Karen Gayle
Lewis
Jul 17, 1945 — May 11, 2023
St. Joseph
Karen Gayle (Wise) Lewis, age 77, of St. Joseph, MO entered Heaven with Jesus on Thursday May 11, 2023. She was born July 17, 1945, to the late Lloyd Wise and Mildred (Campbell) Wise of rural Whitesville, MO. After graduating from King City High School in 1963, Karen worked in banking and later married sweetheart, Kenneth E. Lewis in April,1964. He survives.
Karen also leaves behind a daughter, Cheree (and Scott) Smith of Hull IL, two granddaughters, Taylor (and Ethan) Mangham of Pittsfield IL; Reagan Smith of Hull IL. Her brother, Roger (and Diane) Wise of Savannah, MO also survives. She was preceded in death by infant brother, Lewis.
Karen had a servant's heart and balanced many roles in her 77 years here: Devoted daughter, sister, wife, friend, mother, only to name a few. Among her favorites was being "Nana" to Taylor & Reagan.
Karen leaves a legacy of faith, wisdom, kindness, humor, love and grace.
We are grieving, but not like those who have no hope. She is fully in the presence of the Father and loved ones who went before her. Those who know Christ
will
see Karen again.
