Karen Lee (Hoyt) Kessler, 63, passed away on March 21, 2015 at her home in Savannah, MO surrounded by her loving family. She was born in St. Joseph on August, 19, 1951 to Harvey and Ramona (Cox). She married Ira Kessler in Upper Marlboro, MD on May 19, 1970 and he survives of the home.
Karen worked for many years at Heartland Hospital where she was an Access Rep. She loved and cherished her family. She had a passion for animals and was a very generous person.
She is survived by her husband; brother, Jay & Pam Hoyt of Savannah; sister, Roxann Hoyt of Savannah; one nephew, Sammy Hoyt; two nieces, Krissy Hirter and Jamie Heller; six great-nieces, Payton Hirter, Kerrigan Hirter, Brylee Hirter, Emily Heller, Gillian Heller, and Camilla Heller.
She is preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.
Celebration of Life will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Breit - Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be from 5:00-7:00pm Tuesday March 24, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Graves Cemetery in Guilford, Missouri.
