Obituary

Joseph W. Bower Sr. 77, of Savannah, MO went to be with his Savior at his home on October 17, 2026. He was born in St. Joseph, MO on February 12, 1949 to Warren A. & Lois L. (Howell) Bower. He married Cecelia Ann Wyatt in Euless, TX on February 8, 1969 and she survives of the home.

Joe loved his Lord and his family. He always worked hard and found a way to provide for his family from selling insurance, scrapping appliances, driving a school bus to name a few. He enjoyed doing genealogy, learning about his past. Joe enjoyed searching for gold in MO and any states we would visit had a duffle bag packed with his tools of the trade ready to go. Later, he became interested in black powder. Watching videos and making plans for the future.

Survivors include his wife, Cecelia Bower of Savannah; daughter, Lisa (Jamie) Wright of Savannah; grandchildren, Marisa Bower, Hannah Glascock, Zechariah Bower, and Jordan Bower-Stewart; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Blaze, Hattie, Zafrina, Octavia, Charlee-Ann, and Furyan; sister, Andrea (Randy) Jones of Ft Worth, TX., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Joseph W. Bower Jr., great grand-daughter, Madison Briner, and brother, Gary Nicholas.

Memorial visitation will be 6:00pm - 8:00pm Friday October 23, 2026 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. Memorial contributions can be made to Citizens Bank & Trust.
