John Dylan Myers, 18, Kansas City, MO passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at his home in Kansas City, MO. He was born on September 11, 1999 to Steven & Karen (Harvey) Myers in St. Joseph, MO.
Dylan loved playing video games with his nephew and siblings, Cardinals baseball, and obsessed over movies. He loved his family, especially his niece and nephews. Dylan enjoyed gardening, fishing, making homemade noodles with his grandma, and always matched his socks with his tennis shoes. He always had a smile but even without one, his eyes could light up a room.
Dylan is survived by his mother; Karen Harvey Myers of the home; two brothers, Steven Myers of Columbia, MO, and Cody (Jessi) Myers of Kansas City, MO; three sisters, Jessica (Jeremy) Ginn, Stephanie Myers and Nick Waldo all of Kansas City, MO, and Carly Myers of the home; aunt, Kathy Harvey and uncle, Michael (Linda) Myers all of St. Joseph; nephews, Jaden Myers and Hadrian Myers, and niece, Lila Waldo. Dylan was preceded in death by his father, Steven Harold Myers; paternal grandparents, Harold Calvin "Sonny" and L. Elaine (Dillard) Myers; and maternal grandparents, Gene Alvin and Lila Marie (Elliott) Harvey.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., March 16 at St. Johns Church in Amazonia, MO. Burial will be at St. Johns Cemetery in Amazonia, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to The Dylan Myers Memorial Fund in care of Nodaway Valley Bank or Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America.
