Jody Dean Hundley, 39, of St. Joseph, MO passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO. He was born on September 21, 1977 in St. Joseph, MO to Richard & Cynthia (Ellis) Gibson.
Jody loved his family and grandson and the time he had with them. Jody also enjoyed spending time with his dogs Coco, Charlie, Cooper and Chevy. Jody lived through his children and their accomplishments in life. Jody was in love with his grandson the moment he held him just three short months ago, and was the best Grandpa that Benny could have had. Jody's daily life consisted of talking to his children and encouraging them to reach their goals and dreams. He made sure each and every one of his children knew they were loved by him. Jody endured many struggles in his short life and fought through them to be with his family. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church in St. Joseph, where he was saved and baptized.
Survivors include his fiancé, Amber Scates of Saint Joseph and former spouse and mother of his children, Jan Stagner, of Savannah MO; three sons, Caleb (Kenzie) Stagner-Hundley, Cain Hundley, and Caden Hundley all of Savannah; two daughters, Courtlynn Hundley of Savannah, and London Joswick of St. Joseph; two brothers, Brad (Melissa) Hundley of Odessa, MO, and Thunder Hovey of St. Joseph; two sisters, Jamie Reece of Springfield, MO and Nycki Gibson of Arkansas; one grandson, Bennett Stagner-Hundley, numerous, cousins , aunts, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother, Juanita Seward, niece, Sarah Ellis and aunt, Shirley Smithwick.
Memorial Services will be 6:00PM Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Bank Midwest for his grandsons scholarship Fund.
