JoAnn Sherbondy, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her home in St. Joseph.  She was born July 27, 1931 in Gallatin, MO to Earl and Pearl (Henry) Carter.  She married James Ray Sherbondy in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 2007.

JoAnn was an amazing cook.  She enjoyed bingo and fishing with her husband, Jim.

JoAnn worked at American National Bank for 20 years and retired in 1991. After retirement, she drove a school bus for the Savannah School District for 10 years.

JoAnn is survived by her children; Melinda (Mike) Lyon of Savannah, Kerry (Danny) Daniels of Savannah, and Janis (Mike) Copeland of St. Joseph; nine grandchildren and their spouses, eighteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Graveside services will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Savannah Cemetery in Savannah, MO.   Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home is overseeing local arrangements.
