Jerry Ann Sporhase (88) passed away peacefully on October 2nd at Mosaic Life Care in St. Jospeh, MO. She was born July 13, 1938, to Thomas and Genevieve Lynch. She attended Lafayette High School and went on to live a full life centered around family, community service and adventure.
In her early years, Jerry Ann devoted her time to being a homemaker. Later, she enjoyed a varied career that reflected her outgoing personality and many interests. She served as a church secretary and as promotions manager at East Hills Mall, where her picture can still be seen on the mall’s mural. She was also the owner of Fashion Models of America.
Jerry Ann had a special place in her heart for her community. For many years, she enjoyed helping plan the annual Apple Blossom Pageant. She also generously gave her time as a volunteer for 16 years at Mosaic Life Care, spending much of her volunteer service assisting in the Gift Shop. Her willingness to give her time and talents to others was an important part of her life.
Jerry Ann’s life also took her on many adventures, including traveling abroad and Saturday night dancing with friends. She embraced the opportunities life gave her to experience new places and make lasting memories.
Above all, Jerry Ann treasured those closest to her. She leaves behind her son, Brett Case and his wife, Julie; granddaughters, Jordin Buchman and Morgan Breuer and her husband, Conor; great-grandchildren, Sully Buchman and Saylor Breuer; and her beloved poodle companion and best friend, Honey.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Vintage Gardens for the compassionate care Jerry Ann received as a resident there.
