Janice E. Paxson, 70 of St. Joseph, MO passed away Sunday March 31, 2024 at Oregon Care Center in Oregon, MO.  She was born in Kansas City on February 19, 1954 to James & Juanita (Whitlock) Roberts.  She married Teddy Lee Paxson in St. Joseph on June 5, 1976 and he preceded her in death in 2019.

Janice was the oldest of six kids, she was a very strong woman who valued family, music, reading, animals, and education. She was very proud of being a college graduate of Missouri Western College with a degree in Human Resources. She was a long time employee of Inter-Serve Calvin Center where she worked for many years in Human Resources.

Survivors include her siblings, David (Heather) Roberts of Fillmore, Dennis Roberts of Fillmore, Linda (Mike) Stump of Hopkins, MO, Susan Crist of Savannah, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: James Victor (JV) Paxon, and brother, Steven Roberts.

Memorial services will be 6:00pm, Friday April 5, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah.  Memorial visitation and family receiving hour will be 5:00pm-6:00pm, Friday April 5, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home.  Inurnment will be at a later date at St. John's Cemetery in Amazonia, MO.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital https://www.stjude.org/donate or mail donations to 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105
