James Dale Roberts, 85, Fillmore, MO passed from this life on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at his home in Fillmore. He was born in Fillmore, MO on July 18, 1934 to Clarence Dale and Isabell Ruth (Elifrits) Roberts. He married Juanita Mildred Whitlock in St. Joseph, MO on July 22, 1951 and she preceded him in death in 2014.

James loved his family and was a very hard worker.  He enjoyed western movies, Chiefs football, and his John Deere tractors.

Survivors include; two sons, David (Heather) Roberts, and Dennis Roberts all of Fillmore; three daughters, Janice Paxson, and Susan Crist all of St. Joseph, MO Linda (Mike) Stump, Hopkins, MO, and; eight grandchildren, Nakia Stump, Krista Barcus, Kaylee Mackey, Katy Blaha, Lyrissa Roberts-Wilson, Drew Crist, Courtney Moore, and Joel Roberts and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Steven Roberts, grandson, J.V. Paxson, granddaughter, Jessica Davison, and one great-grandson, Porter Moore, and two sisters.

Family visitation and receiving hours will be Monday, December 2, 2019 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home Savannah, MO.  Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Amazonia, MO. Memorials may be given to Mosaic Hospice.
